In a preliminary clinical trial, EBP was evaluated for its ability to treat CSF fistulas/DT in six patients, resulting in positive outcomes for nine out of ten patients (or 90%). A follow-up study exhibited a 90% 2/2 degree of cervical involvement and a 7/8 lumbar involvement. However, the results of the third study indicated that 3 (60%) out of the 5 implemented evidence-based practices did not prevent recurrent cerebrospinal fluid leaks/disorders in 4 patients.
